Measurements & Fit
Every Aunty Rose piece is handmade to precise measurements. Use this guide to find your perfect fit — or contact us for a custom size.
Use a soft measuring tape and measure in inches or centimetres. Wear minimal, form-fitting clothing. Ask a friend to help for the most accurate results.
Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor and not too tight.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist — typically just above the belly button.
Hips: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips, about 8 inches below the waist.
Inseam: For trousers and gowns — measure from the crotch down to the floor while wearing heels of the intended height.
Shoulder width: Measure from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other across the back.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit. All our pieces can also be made to your exact measurements — simply select Custom when ordering and send us your measurements via WhatsApp.
Our kaftans and loose-fit pieces use a simplified sizing system. "One Size (S–L)" comfortably fits UK 8–14 / US 4–10. The "XL–2XL" option is designed for UK 16–20 / US 12–16. For anything outside this range, custom sizing is available at no extra cost.
All bridal pieces are made fully bespoke. Please provide your full measurement set (bust, waist, hips, height, and preferred heel height) at the time of ordering. We recommend placing bridal orders at least 6 weeks before the event date.

Because every Aunty Rose piece is handmade to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. However, your satisfaction is our highest priority.
If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect or differs significantly from what was agreed, we will offer a full remake or refund. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos via WhatsApp.
Custom and bespoke orders are non-refundable once production begins. We strongly recommend confirming all measurements and details before we commence your piece.
If a standard-size piece does not fit as expected and you ordered based on our Size Guide, we will offer alterations at no charge (excluding international shipping costs).
We ship worldwide from our Lagos, Nigeria atelier. All orders are carefully packaged to protect your garment during transit.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes levied by their country. We declare all packages at accurate values and cannot mark items as gifts.
All orders include a tracking number sent to you via WhatsApp once dispatched.
Custom pieces require 4–6 weeks of production time before dispatch. Bridal pieces may require additional time. We will communicate your specific timeline upon order confirmation.
Our pieces are crafted from delicate, premium fabrics. Proper care will preserve their beauty for years to come.
Dry clean only, or hand wash in cold water with a silk-specific detergent. Never wring. Lay flat or hang to dry. Iron on low heat using a press cloth.
Dry clean strongly recommended. If hand washing, place in a mesh laundry bag and use cold water only. Never machine wash.
Dry clean only. Steaming is preferred over ironing. Store in a breathable garment bag.
Cold hand wash or delicate machine cycle. Wash inside out to preserve colours. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse side only.
Always dry clean pieces with heavy beading or embellishments. Avoid submerging in water as this can loosen the threading.
